Sung Sujung does not simply make a single object. She designs systems — conditions for relation — where material, space, and the audience interact and constitute one another.

Sung Su-jung designs a "system of relationships" where matter, space, and the audience interact, based on the premise that the boundaries of perception are not fixed. Drawing on developmental research, her own physical experience with hearing loss, and neuroscientific facts, she explores the intersection where hearing and touch cross over, presenting works that reconnect and expand fragmented senses through digital technology and vibration.

She has participated in curated exhibitions such as <Shimmering and Mumbling> (2026) and <A Shape Called Love> (2025), and organized the <Baby Darling> series (2024–2025) and others, experimenting with sensory installations that expand accessibility for diverse bodies. Furthermore, through the multidisciplinary art project <Reset in the Egg> (2024) and the experimental group Image Paradigm's <Fantasy Seoul> series (2019–2021), she explored how participants' movement and auditory frequency could extend beyond individual memory into communal solidarity. She has received creative production grants from the Arts Council Korea (ARKO) in 2022 and 2024, and from the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture in 2020.

성수정 1989~ 시각·다원예술가

하나의 오브제가 아니라, 물질과 공간, 관객이 얽히며 반응하는 시스템, 관계 맺는 조건을 설계한다.

성수정은 감각의 경계가 고정되지 않았다는 전제 아래, 물질과 공간, 관객이 상호작용하는 ‘관계의 시스템’을 설계한다. 발달 연구, 난청이라는 신체적 경험, 신경과학적 사실을 바탕으로 청각과 촉각이 교차하는 지점을 탐구하며, 기술과 진동을 통해 분절된 감각을 다시 연결하고 확장하는 작업을 선보인다.

기획 전시 <푸르고 반짝이는>(2026), <사랑하는 모양이야>(2025) 참여, <베이비 달링> 시리즈(2024~2025) 등을 기획하며 다양한 신체의 접근성을 확장하는 감각 설치를 실험해 왔다. 나아가 다원예술 프로젝트 < Reset in the egg> (2024) 및 실험그룹 ‘이미지 패러다임’의 <환상 서울> 시리즈(2019~2021)를 통해 참여자의 이동과 청각적 주파수가 어떻게 개인의 기억을 넘어 공동체적 연대로 확장되는지 실험했다. 2022, 2024년 한국문화예술위원회, 2020년 서울문화재단 창작기금을 수혜했다.
